Your Privacy Choices

If you live in California (or another state with comparable rights), this page explains how to opt out and exercise the rest of your privacy rights.

Last updated · May 8, 2026

1. We do not sell or share your personal information

LawLease does not sell your personal information, and we do not shareit with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the “CCPA / CPRA”).

That means there is nothing for you to opt out of with respect to sale or sharing — there is no sale or sharing happening. We commit to keeping it that way; if that ever changes, we will update this page first and provide a working opt-out mechanism before any sale or sharing begins.

2. Your other privacy rights

California residents (and residents of other states with similar laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah) have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you and how we use it.
  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to limited exceptions (e.g., signed leases we are legally required to retain).
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be retaliated against for exercising any of these rights.

See our Privacy Policy for the full list of categories and purposes.

3. How to make a request

Email privacy@lawlease.org from the address associated with your LawLease account. Tell us which right you would like to exercise. We will respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension if reasonably necessary.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request — typically by confirming you control the email on file. We will never charge you to honor a rights request, and we will not discriminate against you for making one.

4. Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to confirm your identity directly.

5. Appeals

If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our denial email or writing again to privacy@lawlease.org with the subject line “Privacy Appeal”. We will respond to appeals within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
